telc examinations

The European Language Certificates (TELC) are a system of language examinations that are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages established by the Council of Europe. The examinations classify the four language skills: listening, reading, speaking, and writing.

telc language examination dates are offered on an ongoing basis (see below). The examinations take place on our premises at Konrad-Adenauer-Ring 24 in Osnabrück. We are authorised to conduct examinations for German and offer examinations for levels B1, B2, and C1 Hochschule..

To study at a German university, you will need to provide proof that you have reached an adequate language proficiency level in German. Among the language examinations administered by inlingua Osnabrück is telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule. This examination is recognised as proof of language proficiency by the resolutions of the German Rectors' Conference.

B1 or B2 examination
Full examination: 163,87 € + MwSt. = 195,00 €
Price for partial examination (oral or written only): 138,66 € + MwSt. = 165,00 €

C1 and C1 HS examination
Full examination: 193,28 € + MwSt. = 230,00 €
Price for partial examination (oral or written only): 138,66 € + MwSt. = 165,00 €

You can register with us at any time. However, to pass the exam, you need to have reached the desired language level. We will provide you with detailed information and assess your previous knowledge at no obligation to you.

telc certificate examinations consist of a written and an oral exam element. The written exam lasts 3 hours and 40 minutes (including a 20-minute break). Before the oral exam, you will have 20 minutes to prepare your answers. The oral exam may take place on the same day as the written exam or on a separate day.

Written exam
Reading comprehension: 90 minutes
Break: 20 minutes
Listening comprehension: 40 minutes
Written expression: 70 minutes

Oral exam
Group exam, usually involving two or three participants: 16 minutes or 24 minutes, depending on the group size

We offer specific exam preparation sessions in the form of small group or 1-to-1 lessons. These sessions enable you to familiarise yourself with the various exam components and learn how to tackle them correctly.
You can train for your upcoming telc exam during our exam preparation courses in small groups of 3-5 participants. These courses help you to be perfectly prepared and allow you to approach your exam with confidence.
