These courses are suitable for all participants with a migration background who can demonstrate that they have a language proficiency level no higher than B1 and who wish to work in their field but lack experience in the required specialist language. As these courses serve as “preparation for the job market”, these vouchers are issued by the Federal Employment Agency as a means of facilitating integration into the workplace.


The first step to applying for and receiving a course offer is to take our online placement test to establish your existing proficiency level. The placement test is free and without obligation.

Objective:

Basic module in preparation for future career

Target group:
  • Foreigners/migrants with limited knowledge of German who permanently reside in Germany
  • EU citizens
  • Long-term tolerated individuals

 

Even if you already speak some German, please arrange an appointment with us for a placement test. The placement test can be scheduled with us at any time during our business hours and takes about 40 minutes. The placement test is free of charge and non-binding for all our prospective students.

Available AVGS programes in detail

This course is suitable for participants with a migration background who wish to work in the nursing or hospital sector but do not yet have the linguistic or work experience in this field.

Topics covered:

  • Conversational skills
  • Basic specialist vocabulary
  • Understanding basic instructions
  • Everyday work in the nursing sector
  • Politeness and etiquette
  • General working conditions


Following this 2-month course, you will have the opportunity to participate in a 14-day internship in the nursing sector. The internship can be extended if necessary.

This course is suitable for participants with a migration background who want to work in the field of warehousing and logistics but have no prior linguistic or work experience in this area.

Key focal areas:

  • Conversational skills
  • Basic specialist vocabulary
  • Understanding basic instructions
  • Everyday work in warehouses and logistics
  • Politeness and etiquette
  • General working conditions


The course includes an internship lasting approximately two weeks that takes place after the course has ended. The internship may be extended if necessary.

This course is suitable for participants with a migration background who are unsure about the possible fields of work available to them. Various career models and job opportunities will be presented, and participants will learn how to write resumes, practice job interviews, etc. This course is designed for migrants with limited linguistic or work experience.

This course does not include an internship.

This course is suitable for participants with a migration background who want to work in the field of housekeeping but have no linguistic or work experience in this area.

  • Everyday housekeeping work
  • Politeness and etiquette
  • General working conditions


The course includes an internship lasting approximately two weeks and takes place after the course has ended. The internship may be extended if necessary.
